Heritage Ottawa’s 2014 Walking Tour season ended on a high note last Sunday with a well attended tour of Briarcliffe, Canada’s first mid-century modern Heritage Conservation District.  Over 80 fans of vintage modernism – roughly twice the neighbourhood population - turned out to learn more about the district, making this newly offered tour our most popular this year. Walking tours of Lindenlea on September 28 and Hintonburg on September 7 also attracted large and enthusiastic groups. The entire 2014 walking tour schedule can be reviewed here.

Many thanks to our knowledgeable tour guides and other dedicated volunteers who helped make this 2014 walking tour season a resounding success.  We also owe a debt of gratitude to our sponsors: the City of Ottawa; Andrex Holdings and its President Sandy Smallwood; and Janny Mills, Jeff Rosebrugh and Shan Cappuccino of Janny, Jeff and Shan / Royal Lepage Performance Reality.

Stay tuned to the website for details of our next Sunday Walking Tour season beginning in June 2015, and plan on joining us for a pleasurable and informative afternoon!
