OTTAWA PREMIERE: "CITY DREAMERS" Profiles Four Pioneering Women of Architecture

On September 11, Women of Architecture | Capital Region (WOA!) and the Ottawa chapter of the Ontario Association of Landscape Architects (OALA) are proud to present the premier of CITY DREAMERS at the ByTowne Cinema.

The film follows, "Phyllis Lambert, Blanche Lemco van Ginkel, Cornelia Hahn Oberlander, Denise Scott Brown – four trailblazers who became accustomed to being the only woman in the room. Each has an extensive list of accomplishments in architecture, planning and landscape architecture dating back 60+ years and has taught, mentored and inspired generations of professionals."~ City Dreamers

Prior to the movie, guests are invited to a pre-film social hosted at Rebel to relax after work and mingle with local professionals. Food and refreshments will be provided.

The evening will include a short panel discussion featuring: Phyllis Lambert (as featured in film) and movie director, Joseph Hillel; moderated by the Royal Architecture Institute of Canada's (RAIC) Regional Director for Ontario North East and Nunavut, Emmanuelle van Rutten.

Evening Schedule:

    5:30 to 7:30 p.m. - Pre-Film Social @ Rebel, 377 Dalhousie Street (this event will be free of charge)
    8:00 p.m. - Movie screening @ ByTowne Cinema, 325 Rideau Street

Film tickets will be $12 + applicable taxes and fees.
