HERITAGE OTTAWA
The Lowertown Community Association / Basseville Association Communitaire will celebrate the lively history of Dalhousie Street with free Heritage Walks in both English and French this coming Saturday, July 18.
The walks are part of the Northdal Summer Avant Garden Party taking place on Dalhousie Street between Murray and Cathcart. The Association is joining forces with a group of North Dalhousie Street businesses to present the walks and highlight some of the area's heritage buildings.
Two students from the University of Ottawa, Mark Farine and Vincent Bergeron will lead tours along Dalhousie Street between Murray Street and Bingham Park. At one of the tour stops, Brendan Bowen, a local resident, will share stories about Polly Drouin, a Lowertown hockey legend.
The tours leave from 190 Dalhousie ( Das Lokal Kitchen and Bar ) at 11am and 2 pm this Saturday, July 18.
