HERITAGE OTTAWA
Carleton University’s School of Indigenous and Canadian Studies and Azrieli School of Architecture and Urbanism are co-hosting the fourth annual Herb Stovel Memorial Lecture to be held on September 20, 2018 at 6:30 pm .
This year, the guest lecturer is Dr. Francesca Russello Ammon, Assistant Professor of City and Regional Planning, University of Pennsylvania School of Design. Dr. Ammon will be presenting her work on the bulldozer as an actor in both wartime and postwar clearance projects.
Bulldozer: Demolition and Clearance of the Postwar Landscape will take place in The Pit on the main floor of the Architecture Building at 1125 Colonel By Drive, Ottawa. The talk will be followed by a reception.
The lecture is free and open to the public.
