HERITAGE OTTAWA
Two new books about the historic St. Bartholomew's Anglican Church in New Edinburgh will be celebrated at a book launch this Sunday, May 7.
Faithful, by Janet Uren and Dr. Glenn Lockwood, tells of 50 years of parish life. The book is richly illustrated with over 230 images, many dating to the late 19th century.
The Parish of St Bartholomew is a definitive history by Dr. Glenn Lockwood, tracing the parish from its modest beginnings to the present day.
The historic church is celebrating its 150th anniversary in 2017.
A commemorative Cornerstone Day Service will be followed by the launch of both books, commissioned by parishioners Tony and Joan Kellett.
Janet Uren is a local historian and author. Dr. Glenn Lockwood is the archivist of the Anglican Diocese of Ottawa. Both authors will be on hand to sign the two books.
Heritage Ottawa warmly congratulates the authors, and parish of St. Bartholomew on the occasion of its milestone anniversay.
