First Nations Architecture and Design to be highlighted at NCC Capital Urbanism Lab Event

NATIONAL CAPITAL COMMISSION

The National Capital Commission (NCC) will highlight First Nations architecture and design at a Capital Urbanism Lab to be held on National Aboriginal Day.

Recognized Aboriginal architects will provide overviews of their most recent projects, and share their philosophy about architecture and design. The expert panel of speakers will include:

Douglas Odjick, Algonquin Anishinabeg Nation

Brian Porter, Two Row Architect, Ohsweken, Ontario

Eladia Smoke, Architecture 49, Thunder Bay, Ontario

Alfred Waugh, Formline Architecture, Vancouver, British Columbia

The public will have the opportunity to address their comments and questions to the panel.
