Explore the history and heritage of some of Ottawa's most interesting neighbourhoods with our knowledgeable tour guides!
Please note:
- Tours take place rain or shine, and last approximately 1.5 hours, unless otherwise indicated. We recommend wearing comfortable sturdy shoes.
- For safety reasons, dogs on leashes (with the exception of service animals) cannot be accommodated on our tours.
- Space is limited
- Online Pre-registration and Pre-payment are required for all participants using our secure online payment method below.
- No registrations or payments can be accepted on site by the volunteers hosting the tours.
Heritage Ottawa Members: $10 | Non-members: $25

Discovering the University of Ottawa’s Historic Quadrangle (in French)
Come and discover the fascinating history of the University of Ottawa, founded in 1848 as the College of Bytown and established in Sandy Hill since 1856, as well as its rich built heritage. Come and see Tabaret Hall, Academic Hall, Hagen Hall, the former École normale, the 19th-century heritage houses on rue Séraphin-Marion and the former Juniorat du Sacré Coeur, now the Visual Arts Building.
