ONTARIO ASSOCIATION OF ARCHITECTS' BIENNIAL 'NOW' LECTURE MAKES OTTAWA DEBUT

On Thursday, November 5, 2026, the Ontario Association of Architects' (OAA) biennial NOW Lecture will make its National Capital Region debut. The event, dedicated to architecture, is taking place at the National Arts Centre's new Rossy Pavilion from 6 to 8:30 pm.

The evening opens with a talk by Ottawa-based Juxta Architects, winners of the OAA's Best Emerging Practice Award, which has built its practice around heritage conservation paired with building science and envelope expertise, restoring and reimagining some of the area's most storied buildings. Juxta will be presenting on what it took to launch and grow the firm, and lessons for anyone thinking about starting their own practice.

For OAA members, the NOW Lecture offers Structured Learning credit toward an OAA Continuing Education transcript.

Cost: $50 for OAA members and the public, with special $25 pricing for Intern Architects and Intern Technologists.
