The School of Indigenous and Canadian Studies at Carleton University presents its 15th annual Graduate Student Heritage Conservation Symposium. This year, the online format will offer four lunch-hour sessions from 12:00-1:30 pm on Thursdays, April 15, 22, 29, and May 6, 2021.
Inspired by the 25th Anniversary of the Nara Document on Authenticity, this year’s theme is “Keeping Heritage Real: Authenticity in Conservation Practice.” The symposium aims to challenge current references to “Authenticity” in conservation practice, and discuss the relevance of Nara in this new, virtual landscape of 2021.
Each of the four sessions will focus on a different aspect of “Authenticity” through a number of presentations and speakers. CLICK HERE for the full program.
The event if free, but pre-registration is required. Sign-up today!
