HERITAGE OTTAWA

Longtime Heritage Ottawa volunteer Andrew Elliott, an archivist at Library and Archives Canada, shares his passion for Ottawa's historic streetscapes in a new series of vignettes for Rogers tv called "From the Archives".

In the first episode, which focuses on the former intersection of Wellington and Sparks Streets, Andrew takes viewers on an engaging stroll interspersed with archival photography depicting the area's appearance some 100 years ago. The series is a partnership between Rogers tv and Library and Archives Canada.

The first episode can be viewed online at the Rogers tv website.

Andrew was the recent recipient of Heritage Ottawa's Volunteer Award, presented at Ottawa City Hall on Heritage Day, 2017.

Congratulations, Andrew!
