Heritage Ottawa, in collaboration with the Friends of the Château Laurier and Carleton University, invites you to a Special Forum Event on September 5, 2019:

Can Compatible Modern Architecture be Added to Heritage Buildings?
YES, IT CAN.

The event includes:

  • Overview of the history and heritage values of the Château Laurier and its setting
  • Review of the proposed submissions for an addition to the Château Laurier
  • Assessment of why the proposed submissions are incompatible with the heritage building
  • Presentation of compatible modern additions to historic places that work
  • Questions and Answers
