Help Save The Château Laurier!
Despite a massive wave of public opinion and expert analysis urging otherwise, Ottawa City Council voted on July 11, 2019 to allow an inappropriate addition to the iconic Château Laurier hotel.
Heritage Ottawa has advocated tirelessly against each of the five inappropriate designs proposed by the hotel owners, since the first proposed in 2016.
Each time, we vowed to keep up the fight. Your voices mattered—and continue to matter now.
It's Not Over!
Along with the recently formed Friends of the Château Laurier, we have heard from thousands of Canadians asking us to keep fighting to prevent construction of this much-criticized design. But we need your help.
Heritage Ottawa is raising funds toward the legal costs of fighting the incompatible and insensitive addition to the Château Laurier.
If you agree that this proposed addition must not be allowed to proceed, please consider donating what you can toward this most important of battles to save our heritage.
Your Support Counts!
Any and all donations, large and small, will make a valued contribution to our ongoing efforts. Tax receipts will be issued for all donations.
