An event to celebrate New Edinburgh's history bringing people together for fun with music, house tours, food, drinks and much more.
The streets of New Edinburgh will come alive on Saturday, September 9 at 62 John Street in New Edinburgh.
Building on last year's success, the New Edinburgh StreetFest will feature many activities people loved in 2022, along with some exciting new features:
- Opening ceremonies with music and speakers
- Open house tours with interpreters guiding visitors through the interiors of three historic village homes
- Welcome Centre and Café at St. Bartholomew's Church Hall
- Guest speaker on the Scottish roots of New Edinburgh and musical program at St. Bartholomew's Church
- Walking tour with doorstep guides telling stories of historic buildings
- Porch concert series with musicians on village verandahs
- Beer and wine tent with a Toasty Arepas food truck
- After-party cèilidh with Celtic music from 4 - 6 pm
This fundraising event is organized by the IODE Laurention Chapter Ottawa.
The New Edinburgh StreetFest runs from 10 am to 6 pm on Saturday, September 9. See the full program of the day’s activities HERE.
Proceeds will primarily benefit the Inuuqatigiit Centre for Inuit Children, Youth and Families in Vanier.
