The tour starts and ends in Westboro Village, founded as Skead's Mills in 1874, and includes part of Highland Park, the former farm of the Thomson, Rochester and Cole families of Maplelawn. There are eight designated heritage buildings up to 190 years old, including All Saints Church, Nepean Town Hall, Maison Jeanne D'Arc, Cobble Cottage, Broadview School, Maplelawn, and two more close by, plus other buildings on the city's heritage register.

GUIDES: Bruce Elliott, retired Carleton University history professor and author, with David Jeanes, former Heritage Ottawa president. Both have lived in the neighbourhood for many years.
