The Ottawa Historical Association is pleased to announce that its next regular lecture will be delivered by Professor Duncan McDowall on *"It can't happen here?": Chuck Edwards and the Challenge to Limestone Liberalism at Queen's, 1968-70.*
The lecture will take place on Thursday, September 20, 2012 at 7:30 pm in the Upper Room of the Royal Oak Pub, 221 Echo Drive @ Pretoria Bridge. Please join us for informal discussion and refreshments after the talk.
Following his retirement from Carleton, Dr. Duncan McDowall was appointed University Historian at Queen's University in 2011 and is hard at work on the third volume of the university's history. A graduate of Queen's and Carleton, Professor McDowall is the author of several books and earned the National Business Book Award in 1994 for his history of the Royal Bank of Canada, Quick to the Frontier.
