An Invitation

The Glebe Community Association and its

Heritage Committee and Parks Committee

cordially invite you to a brief Ceremony to

unveil a plaque commemorating the

Clemow Estate East Heritage Conservation District

designated recently by Ottawa City Council

and also marking the

Centennial of the completion of Central Park.

The Ceremony will take place on

Tuesday June 19, 2012 at 6:00 P.M.

on Clemow Avenue between Bank Street and O’Connor Street,

beside the Patterson’s Creek Pond.

Lynn Barlow of the GCA Executive will be the MC with guest speakers Mayor Jim Watson, Councillor David Chernushenko,

Leslie Maitland (President of Heritage Ottawa) and

Lesley Collins (City Heritage Planner).

The unveiling will be performed by Mayor Watson, Councillor Chernushenko and John Leaning (Architect, author and Glebe heritage advocate)

A 15-minute guided Walkabout will then showcase

Central Park East and its surrounding heritage homes

including ten designed by W. E. Noffke.

The tour will conclude with a short reception.
